After a dramatic debut in Beijing 2022, where he failed to finish his giant slalom race, Mathieu Gravier returned to the Winter Olympics with one goal: redemption.
On Saturday, 14 February, at Milano Cortina 2026, the 22-year-old skier finally crossed the finish line, completing the race in 2:48.83 and placing 57th overall.

“Today it was my revenge,” Gravier told Prishtina Post exclusively. “In China, I never finished the giant. Today, I did it.”
Experience made the difference. “When it’s your first Olympics, the stress is overwhelming,” he said. “Now I know what to do. Stay calm. Just ski. Use the technique you learned in training.”
From disappointment to triumph, Gravier’s journey is a story of resilience, determination, and the sweet taste of Olympic revenge.
